- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to assess patients' health status and formulate differential diagnoses.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms (ECGs), to assist in diagnosing medical conditions and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice, including suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and joint injections, under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Provide patient education on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-management strategies to promote optimal health and wellness.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and regulatory standards through ongoing education and professional development activities.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and excellent communication skills in interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in New York
