- P&L Awareness: Monitor and manage financial performance related to storeroom operations.
- Storeroom Management: Oversee day-to-day storeroom activities, including inventory control, material handling, and purchasing processes.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of storeroom attendants and customer service representatives (CSRs) across multiple states.
- Staff Management: Lead and develop a team with a focus on performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Purchasing: Support purchasing operations with a focus on materials management and cost-effective sourcing.
- Travel: Travel to company sites in KY and TN as needed, approximately 10-25% of the time.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate tracking of materials and adherence to safety standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle physical inventory, including lifting up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance, while following standard operating and safety procedures.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in storeroom management, supply chain, or a related field (experience in metals manufacturing is a plus).
- Education: Degree not required; relevant experience and skills will be considered.
- Staff Management: At least 2 years of experience managing a team, preferably with experience overseeing remote teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with SAP (Materials, Purchasing, Preventative Maintenance).
- AS 400 experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Sales/Consulting: Experience in sales or consulting is a significant advantage.
- Industry Experience: Experience in wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, or manufacturing (specifically in indirect materials) is preferred.
