Concrete Construction Estimator

We are a leading civil construction and infrastructure company in Florida, delivering high-quality projects with precision and integrity. We're looking for a detail-oriented Estimator with experience in structural concrete to join our team. You'll play a critical role in preparing accurate, competitive bids that help us win and deliver projects successfully.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, addendums, RFIs, and bid documents
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Planswift
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare quotes from subcontractors and vendors
• Input takeoffs and pricing into B2W and Excel
• Adjust labor, quantities, overhead, and profit to ensure accurate bids
• Prepare and submit final proposals to clients
• Participate in internal bid review and handoff meetings
• Assist with change orders and post-project reviews
• Maintain organized project files and documentation

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in estimating, bid coordination, or related construction field.
• Structural concrete estimating experience is required.
• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods and bid processes.
• Software proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of estimating/takeoff software is a plus (e.g., B2W, Planswift).
• Analytical skills: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate
• Attention to detail: Meticulous accuracy is required and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Office-based with occasional site visits.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• May require PPE during site visits.
• Conduct all business professionally and ethically while actively listening to client and team needs.
