    We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our growing team in Rochester, NY to manage a hybrid team.

    We supply military and commercial industries worldwide with accurate timing technologies and equipment; Time Servers as well as ultra-precise timing and frequency distribution for applications requiring a high degree of reliability and accuracy across IP time distribution standards.

    We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager who works closely with their team, with a strong growth mindset and seeks to empowerment the team.


    The Position:


    As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a crucial role in establishing Supplier collaboration processes with the purchasing team.

    You will collaborate with the Master Scheduler on S&OP to support the strategy and vision with our supplier capacity. Your first priority will be ensuring a seamless supply with efficient stock management and excellent service levels.

    You will lead and coach your team of buyer/planners to ensure availability of materials for production processes.

    This will include sharing long term forecast to your suppliers, planning the right time to place a purchase order, managing the inventory stock levels, determining the level of safety stock needed, developing the teams' skill set, supporting the team with implementing action plans to manage supplier performance, and working with the purchasing team to implement purchase contracts on time at the right quantities.

    Responsible for change management, they will oversee implementing new revisions and new products with our suppliers and will be acting as Project Manager to ensure timely transition.

    Finally, they will own the Supplier RMA and Supplier First Article process.
    This role will support our fast-growing timing business producing Timing Servers and related products.


    The Day to Day:
    Strategic goal setting for the team
    Manage your team to empower them and make them grow
    Leadership in the business with customer focus
    Ensures the S&OP forecasts are met by the suppliers
    Define inventory and safety stock is on hand and available at suppliers and supplier's capacity are available to support our business plan
    Focus on long term supplier capacity planning and create visibility on risks & opportunities
    Leads Supplier Collaboration with strategic suppliers.
    Ensures operational excellence and solution management for any supply risk & issues.
    Lead Change Management with suppliers
    Supplier Relationship Management to ensure reliable performance
    Use Data to make decisions managing cost and cash flow
    Lead continuous improvement projects to achieve a reliable, agile and secured supply chain.


    What you Bring to Safran:
    Strong Understanding of ERP systems
    Experienced Leading and developing team
    Strong ability to plan and negotiate with suppliers
    5 or more years of experience
    BS degree in Related Field
    Data Driven decision making
    Strong Sense of urgency
    Collaborative mindset with global team
