Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Trade Helper II to join our team in Norfolk,Va The successful candidate will perform various ship repair modernization and Alteration Installation Team AIT projects in support of U.S. Navy clients This role requires precision efficiency commitment to quality workmanship in both shop and shipboard environments- Perform general labor tasks including lifting moving loading unloading materials li Operate hand tools power tools forklifts pallet jacks safely effectively li Clean prepare work sites debris removal setup materials equipment li Assist removal installation equipment cabling safety procedures followed li Perform basic repairs maintenance tools machinery standard hand tools li Support skilled trades personnel Firewatch welder’s helper electrician’s assistant pulling routing cable ul>
The successful candidate must possess OSHA-10 training have OSHA-10 card Prior experience aboard ship marine vessel preferred Must possess high school trade or vocational school degree Must have ability obtain base access security credentials e.g DBIDS NAVSEA Badge Travel may required within outside continental United States Due export control regulations this role open U.S. citizens only p>
