    Summary:

    The Senior HRIS and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for administering our HR technology systems (including UKG, HR intranet page, file sharing platforms, etc.) and assisting with all aspects of payroll processing.The incumbent will be highly proficient in technology, with experience in implementing and managing HR systems and will have a deep understanding of the end-to-end payroll process. This role will require excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • HRIS: Along with the Director, Total rewards works with HR in meeting information reporting and analysis needs. Actively involved in coordinating the implementation of software upgrades, or other technical projects with a view to minimizing disruption to users. Meets with the user community to understand their needs for data reporting and analysis and may make recommendations as to how best to structure analyses to maximize the functionality of the software available. Participates in ongoing verification and updating of the information stored in the HR systems/ databases.
    • HRIS Implementation and Management: Lead implementations, configuration, and testing of HR systems, such as UKG, including setting up modules, workflows, and user access permissions.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports from HRIS systems, analyze payroll data for accuracy and compliance, and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
    • Payroll Processing: Assist the Payroll Manager with all aspects of payroll processing, including but not limited to payroll calculations, deductions, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple states.
    • Payroll Taxes: Stay up-to-date with payroll tax laws and regulations, may assist with processing payroll taxes accurately and on time, and handle tax filings and reporting requirements.
    • Compliance and Legal Knowledge: Maintain a solid understanding of employment law, HR compliance, payroll law and compliance, and local, state, and federal regulations related to employees.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll and HRIS systems, streamline procedures, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    Skills & Competencies:
    • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems, with experience in UKG being a strong asset.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Knowledge of payroll taxes, reporting requirements, employment laws, and compliance regulations.
    • Proven track record of implementing HRIS systems, system configurations, and testing.
    Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or information systems preferred or equivalent related work experience required.
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in HRIS implementation, HRIS management and payroll processing.
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred but not required.
