Procurement Manager (Senior)

Location:
Warren, OH area

Salary:
$110k-130k + Bonuses

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and procurement activities of the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service agreements
Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and ongoing communication
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on best practices
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Implement quality management processes to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement in the procurement process
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to procurement

Skills:

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
Must have been responsible for at least 100M in annual purchasing spend regionally and internationally
Develop, plan, and manage a raw material supply base which ensures the identification of items critical to the process, enhances the internal customer process, and adds value while creating competitive buying and facilitating cost/savings/reductions between internal customers/suppliers.
Proficient in contract management and supplier relationship management
Experience in category management, including sourcing strategies and supplier segmentation
Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
Familiarity with procurement management systems and tools
Understanding of supply chain logistics and supply chain management principles

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers
