    Job Summary

    To co-labor with parents in leading children to Jesus through worship, equipping them to live for God, andgrow as disciples.We will make disciples as we invite, equip, support and empower our teams (paid and volunteer staff) in the ownership of ministry for the sake of the gospel.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Be familiar with and follow NLK Policies and Procedures and Family Ministry Values.
    • Attend all meetings required by Family Ministries leadership staff.
    • Attend all meetings/events required by New Life Church leadership staff.
    • Attend New Life Church staff and volunteer prayer gathering in designated Green Room (Sunday mornings).
    • Attend Family Ministries staff and volunteer prayer gathering in the Theater (Sunday mornings). Lead the devotional portion at least four times per year.
    • Oversee administration of all Family Ministries support staff personnel
    • Oversee Mid-week ministry data and registration links for groups in CCB.
    • Oversee facility requests for events and meetings, keeping a log of small group reservations.
    • Maintain files related to events and programs for future reference.
    • Monitor and approve employee timecards in area of oversight.
    • Work in close communicationwith the weekend Coordinators (EC and Elem) and rotate inFamily Ministries support staff to help staff weekend services.
    • Work in close communication with Groups and other New Life Church Ministries that will require Mid-week ministry support; approve group requests.
    • Help recruit volunteers for Mid-week program as needed
    • Maintain good communication with parents, volunteers and other ministry/group leaders
    • Ensure Family Ministries support staff complies with the overall mission and vision of Family Ministry.
    • Manage disputes among Family Ministries support staff when they arise
    • Perform periodic performance appraisals for support staff
    • Conduct team meetings and trainings
    • Work with Directors and Coordinators to determine projects needed to be completed by Family Ministries support staff team.
    • Collaborate with Early Childhood team and Life Safety to manage/oversee halls to follow NLC safety procedures for classrooms, bathroom breaks, and any transitions.
    • Relay any safety issues to Early Childhood Director.
    • Schedule interviews for potential support staff and participate in the interview with the Early Childhood Director.
    • Equip and Support the support staff team in occupational/professional development training.
    • Create a bi-monthly staffing schedule in CCB to staff midweek services and coordinate with the Early Childhood and Elementary teams to schedule support staff for weekend services.
    • Maintain weekly classroom ratio needs and manage call-ins and/or time off requests for support staff.
    • Send a weekly email to support staff with the weekly schedule, lessons and other pertinent information.
    • Work with the Kids Ministry Team to plan, schedule and organize Kids Min development trainings, and team building and remember and celebrate gatherings.
    • Lead support staff team in carrying out ministry objectives.
    • Teach in classrooms as requested/needed.
    • Work in collaboration with the Early Childhood team in the updating and ordering supplies and new, age-appropriate Early Childhood classroom toys/games for Creative Play Stations as needed.
    • Work in collaboration with the Early Childhood team in classroom/cupboards housekeeping.
    • Manage/Oversee the cleaning, organization and upkeep of room 131-Support Staff Breakroom.
    • Provide/coordinate lesson prep for midweek curriculum.
    • Participate in the preparation and execution of Family services, Family Nights, Christmas & Easter Services, Kids Camp, and Despo.
    • Demonstrate ongoing financial support of the ministries of New Life Church.
    • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment of unity among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of New Life Church.
    • Anything else Supervisor may need in association with this role within given weekly hours and work flow.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Strong computer skills, including familiarity, experience and ability to navigate and produce documents within a variety of software applications (MS Office Suite, databases, MS Outlook) and strong Internet researching skills.
    • Strong organizational and office skills.
    • Ability to read and carry out written and oral instructions.

    • Good analytical skills to extract data and draw conclusions.

    Education and Experience

    Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

    Experience: Minimum two years administrative support, general office, or related work experience.

    Physical Demands:
    • Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and or move up to 25 pounds.
