- Engage in harvest activities like preparation, seed sampling, truck unloading, and other related processes
- Execute various tasks related to general plant, field and warehouse operations that vary with each season
- Carefully oversee highly automated equipment for processes such as harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing
- Carry out production tasks including seed conditioning, treating, packaging, and rework
- Handle product return and sorting activities
- Conduct field tasks such as scouting, inspection, and logistics management
- Utilize automation and computerized systems to complete work tasks (computers and iPads)
- Perform warehouse activities like forklift operation, sample collection, pooling, and other associated responsibilities
- Complete various other duties as assigned
- Ability to perform tasks like climbing and working at heights, standing and sitting for long periods, working in diverse environmental conditions, lifting up to fifty (50) lbs., and engaging in repetitive motion and lifting
- Comfortable with technology, proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and open to learning other company-specific applications as needed
- Strong work ethic, multitasking abilities, organization skills, and problem-solving capabilities
- Possession of a valid US Driver's License
- Team player, proactive in approach, open communication, and adaptable to change
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Prioritize health and safety, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Understanding the importance of timely delivery to customers and willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during peak seasons
- Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree
- One (1) year of experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or related fields
- Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles like 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work
- Basic knowledge of field and agriculture operations and equipment (plows, tractors, forklifts, etc.)
- This role does NOT include a comprehensive domestic relocation package
