    About Us:

    KESS, based in West Los Angeles, aims to provide children and adults with a new way to play through its toys, puzzles, and games. The brand boasts the worlds best-selling hoop line with its renowned Ice Hoop and offers a variety of active/impulse toys for kids of all ages. Kess puzzles help adults de-stress and solve boredom through colorful, strategic, and repeatable puzzle play with its assortment that includes artwork from popular influencer artists and anime-focused properties. Kess Entertainment, its tabletop gaming division, includes adult party games, strategy games, and licensed games that span a growing list of video game and anime licensed properties.

    Role Objective:

    As the Marketing Director, you would be responsible for developing and executing the product marketing process for Kess Play (spring summer toys) and Kess Entertainment (tabletop games, puzzles, and game accessories). The division was formalized in summer 2023 and has room for growth and refinement. The ideal candidate has an interest in building systems, strong knowledge of marketing best practices and strategic planning, and demonstrated understanding of the tabletop gaming community.     Responsibilities:

    ? Marketing Campaign strategy development

    ? Manage marketing timelines to ensure campaigns and activations are executed on time

    ? Working with licensing partners for co-marketing campaigns

    ? Strategizing, wireframing, and content building for social media channels

    ? Community building and management

    ? Develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote products and services

    ? Advising the team for experiential activations at conventions and trade shows

    ? Traveling to events to capture the event through photos, social media posts, and relationship building

    ? Researching and vetting influencer marketing opportunities

    ? Communicating with press and media partners for press releases and product reviews

    ? Branding: owning the Kess image and voice

    ? Work with the warehouse to fulfill press/influencer product shipments

    ? Copywriting and editing for company-wise initiatives; including sales presentations, award submissions, and product listings

    Qualifications:

    ? Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications

    ? 4+ years experience marketing products (may include educational years)

    ? Demonstrated understanding of tabletop gaming marketing and/or community

    ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    ? Proficiency in adobe suite preferred

    ? Working understanding of Microsoft Office preferred

    ? Ability to travel for 5-7 days at a time, estimated 3-7 events per year
