    Responsibilities We are a passionate Innovation Team that plays a key role in driving growth for our category-leading brands by developing and delivering against a focused, yet significant pipeline of initiatives.

    Our approach blends the agility and creativity of a start-up, with the scale and resources of a large corporation. The Senior Brand Manager, Innovation is a meaningful leader of innovation strategy, idea development, and business commercialization.

    In this role, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver product ideas through the innovation process from ideation to launch.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the Pet Leadership team to ensure innovation strategies are aligned with business and brand strategy.

    Develop a balanced pipeline of innovation that drives incremental and sustained growth Lead with a blend of disciplined management practices with entrepreneurial behavior, skills, and mindset to make intuitive strategic decisions while appropriately managing uncertainty and risk Lead a diverse, cross-functional best-in-class team that will be responsible for shepherding platforms and product concepts through the innovation process, considering strategic, consumer, technical, and business viability.


    Consumer:

    Develop and validate concepts that deliver on key consumer needs and align with the brand strategy Business: Develop strong business cases, identifying volumes, pricing, product costs, and trade/consumer support scenarios, to ensure opportunity meets financial objectives and hurdles Technical: Partner with our technical and operations teams to ensure we have a viable solution that meets the needs of consumers and can be produced Align and influence leadership to make optimal prioritization and commercialization decisions.

    Represent innovation with multiple stakeholders including brand marketing, operations, finance, and retail customers. Manage a small team of innovation professionals to meet innovation goals Manage the innovation metrics that support overall profitability.

    Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred EXPERIENCE 7 + years in the consumer-packaged goods industry, preferably in the pet category 3 + years of brand marketing experience with proven innovation success; either new product development, creation of new business models, start-up experience, or other entrepreneurial ventures (food industry experience preferred) Previous experience managing a team OTHER CHARACTERISTICS Proven experience in innovation management Proposes and executes plans that add value and create competitive advantage based on knowledge of how the business works Previous experience managing a PNL Previous experience launching multiple new products, including at least one major product from inception to launch Proven cross-functional leader with the ability to drive momentum in a matrixed organization.
