Responsibilities
Our Avondale Collision Center & Repair Estimator position is to ensure an elevated client experience while creating client advocates. To act as a liaison between the client and the body shop and to estimate the cost of repairing clients damaged vehicle.
Must be able to drive and operate vehicleGreets clients and educate them on the repair processExamines damaged vehicles for dents, scratches, broken glass, and other damage requiring repair, replacement, or repainting, for related and unrelated accident damageExamines interior for evidence of fire, water, or other damageDetermines feasibility of repair or replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doorsEstimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairsComputes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by clientPrepares and explains itemized estimate to clients and work order for each vehicleObtains required signatures and authorizations for repairsNegotiates with the insurance company on repair claim costsSchedules and coordinates repairs with techniciansNotifies the client when repairs are completed and the vehicle is ready for deliveryKeeps clients informed of progress every other dayOrders parts on repairs, in cooperation with technicians
Reviews supplemental damage with technicians and insurance adjustersOversees vehicle repair throughout the repair processKeeps clients informed of repair status with updates given at client's requestQuality inspects the vehicle following repairs to verify that repairs have been done properlyHandles telephone calls regarding vehicle statusUpdates Body Shop Manager daily on car statusAllocates the work to the body and paint techs on a fair basis and in such a manner to ensure a smooth flow of work to each technician
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Including Driver's License)Operator's Driver's License (must be insurable)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
