LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our clients dynamic Accounting and Finance team. As a vital member, you will play a crucial role in supporting various departments within the company.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with sales and use tax regulations while also contributing to month-end and year-end financial activities.

Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough reconciliation and analysis of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax accounts across multiple states.
Manage sales tax certificate data meticulously, including tracking communications and ensuring compliance.
Provide assistance during sales and use tax audits, addressing audit findings and resolving issues of non-compliance promptly.
Conduct research and offer support on miscellaneous tax matters, unclaimed property, and 1099 information reporting.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts with precision.
Aid in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting standards.
Prepare monthly cash forecasting and bank reporting to meet internal and external deadlines.
Actively participate in the annual financial audit process.

Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
3+ years of experience in an accounting role.
2+ years of experience in multistate sales tax compliance is preferred.
Proficiency in Excel is a must.
Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
Familiarity with Avalara or Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
