Job Summary:
This position provides exceptional customer service to patients by greeting them warmly and responding promptly to their inquiries regarding registration procedures, patient flow and other related matters.
The Patient Service Representative will register patients in an accurate manner both timely and correctly according to Advocate Health's policies using Epic electronic medical record system.
The role requires strong attention to detail accuracy knowledge of insurance basics health laws regulations compliance hospital policy procedure HIPAA knowledge of basic medical terms abbreviations ability to handle sensitive confidential information effectively act resource staff communicate effectively write read English Spanish languages operate equipment necessary perform job respond quickly emergency situations occurring clerical areas CPR certification may required based location notary training licensure may required based appropriate service line facility maintain confidentiality patient personal financial information medical records accordance law ensure patient safety prevent billing issues complaints,
