    As the Machine Learning Sr. Manager, you will be accountable for project development, reporting, and delivery of multiple data science projects. You will work with the Data Science Manager, you will put data science models into production.


    The Data Science Engineering Manager will support The General in the disciplines of data science engineering, ensuring dominance in the Non-Standard automobile insurance market.

    You will excel at, organization and multi-tasking. Insights you uncover will guide an industry leading Center of Excellence focused on applicable business insights.


    Position Compensation Range:
    $144, $245,000.00 Pay Rate Type:

    Primary Accountabilities

    You will achieve operational goals by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; determine system improvements; implement change.

    You will collaborate with multiple departments within the company to ensure successful projects.

    You will manage the status of multiple ongoing projects of the team.


    You will work with other managers to provide a positive departmental environment, a teamwork-oriented culture, and one voice approach to company policy.

    You will stay up to date with latest production trends for data science.

    You will conduct regular code reviews and establish on call rotations.

    You will create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and encouraging trust, transparency, and inclusion.

    You will work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.

    You will lead with influence and expertise.

    You will contribute to division or department leadership team.

    You will communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and practices.

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
    You will work in a team setting and collaborate well with others

    You will need In-depth knowledge of machine learning models, data preparation, feature engineering.

    You will need the understanding of how to find flaws in complex strategies.

    5+ years experience managing a data science or equivalent team; and management skills.

    You will work with other teams, both internal and external

    Experience with latest MLOps principles, and brings them to fruition by being directly responsible for the team that builds our prediction systems & microservices while also applying the DevOps team for what they do best: CI/CD, centralized logging and alerting, system monitoring,

    Kubernetes/containerization,

    IaC.

    Working knowledge of:
    REST services, microservices architecture, distributed computing, etc.

    Familiarity with tools such as:
    Kubernetes/Docker, FAST API, DVC, Octopus, Kibana, GitLab, Fivetran, Jenkins
