Job summary
Linen Repair Crew Member Inspect linens for tears holes fraying or other damages Maintain detailed records of linen repairs including quantities types of damages and repair methods used Apply pre-treatment solutions or spot-cleaning techniques to effectively remove stains and spots Ensure that the pre-treatment process aligns with industry standards and the company's quality guidelines Collaborate with the Linen Cleaning team to communicate specific pre-treatment requirements for different linens Assist in other aspects of linen management including sorting washing and folding when needed Report safety violations to supervisor Communicate with supervisor Fill in for other positions when necessary for smooth operation of the business Adhere to all company policies procedures rules and regulations in written or verbal form Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations security store Attend department store safety meetings Perform other duties as requested Work involves cleaning food service equipment daily use washer dryers flatwork ironers which release hot air Exposure above average temperatures prevalent There is a high degree of lifting significant degree standing walking bending transporting objects various weights dimensions Must have a full range motion dexterity Accept follow instructions supervisors Working Conditions Most work indoors general warehouse conditions some work areas not heated air conditioned Exposure above average temperatures prevalent The typical tools hampers dollies racks etc considered hazards Most mechanical equipment used dishwashers burnishers flatwork ironers laundry machines electrical gas fired The exposure moving belts continuous washing drying ironing function There is exposure detergents bleaches cleaning chemicals hot water very hot linen Education Skills Requirements Must lift approximately lbs Maintain professional personal appearance Use mathematics solve problems Computer knowledge preferred Training rental software provided Speak English clearly write legibly The ability speak languages plus Maintain acceptable attendance record Have full range motion dexterity Provide understand complete instructions furnished written oral scheduled form Maintain cooperative working relationship coworkers Job Types Full-time Part-time Pay per hour Benefits k matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Ability Commute Grand Rapids MI Required Ability Relocate Grand Rapids MI: Relocate before starting work Required Work Location In person>
