    Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) - Contract to Perm Opportunity

    Location: Plano, Texas

    Soliant has partnered with a prominent pharmacy in Plano, Texas, to find an exceptional Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a contract-to-permanent position. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in managing large pharmacy teams and ensuring compliance with state and board requirements.

    Position Overview: As the Pharmacist In Charge, you will oversee operations at our bustling compounding pharmacy location. You will lead a team of 8-14 pharmacists and technicians, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. This role requires in-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations, as well as strong leadership skills to manage a high-volume environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, develop operational policies, manage inventory, and maintain vendor relationships.
    • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff, provide leadership and guidance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with USP 800, 797, and 795 regulations, investigate quality-related issues, and address customer complaints.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain active pharmacist licenses, stay informed about compounding regulations, and serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections.
    • Customer Service: Collaborate with healthcare providers, address customer inquiries and concerns, and develop patient counseling and education programs.

    Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and active pharmacist license in Texas (additional state licenses preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PIC, with expertise in USP 800, 797, and 795 compliances.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems such as Pioneer RX, PK, and Electric Lab.
    • Board-Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) certification and GMP experience.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and supervise and train pharmacy staff.
