    Role Responsibilities
    • Oversee the integration of generation and energy storage systems into the ERCOT framework, guiding projects from initial application through to operational approval.
    • Conduct security screening assessments to evaluate the impact of interconnection requests on system reliability.
    • Collaborate with Market Participants, including various energy entities, to ensure compliance with industry standards and protocols.
    • Engage with ERCOT departments to facilitate effective communication and resolution of interconnection project issues.
    • Review and validate modeling data throughout the interconnection process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ERCOT guidelines.
    • Assess and approve commissioning plans and milestones, ensuring adherence to operational readiness criteria.
    • Develop and enhance software tools aimed at improving departmental efficiency and system reliability.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of interconnection processes and documentation.
    Qualifications
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience in power systems engineering or a related field.
    • Preferred experience in the electric utility sector and familiarity with power flow analysis tools.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret power system study results.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Basic programming knowledge in languages such as VBA, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
    Educational Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
