    Description

    Our client is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager with strong Medical industry experience to join their growing team here in South Florida. This is a great opportunity to grow your career with an industry leader.

    Job Description:

    • Ensure SAP is continuously updated and accurate to generate necessary requirements.
    • Collaborate with Planning, Quality Control, Accounts Payable, and Warehousing to ensure purchasing aligns with business needs.
    • Develop and maintain procurement analysis for key materials, including purchasing activity, price trends, and future strategy.
    • Manage the annual standard cost process, providing data to finance for budgeting.
    • Establish and implement policies for legal, efficient, and professional purchasing practices.
    • Cultivate relationships with suppliers, scheduling negotiations for price and service.
    • Generate purchase orders and schedule deliveries in SAP to support production.
    • Identify and develop raw material sources promptly.
    • Lead cost reduction efforts and report savings.
    • Maintain purchasing policies, SOPs, and assist with accounting procedures.
    • Monitor and set inventory levels, organize procurement, and oversee contracting.
    • Partner with Quality Compliance for vendor programs.
    • Track and report vendor performance and resolve material shortages.
    • Oversee purchasing department operations and staff development.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • 5-7 years of purchasing experience, with biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • Certification in Purchasing Management (CPM) and Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency in office applications.
    • Excellent management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in negotiation, analytical, and delegation skills.
    • Knowledge of MRPII systems, value improvement programs, and industry regulations.

    Other:

    • Daily communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Direct supervision of Senior Buyer, Buyer, and Buyer/Planner.
    • Decision-making responsibilities include budgeting, cost savings, vendor performance, and more.
