    ROLE OVERVIEW

    As a Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee maintenance procedures and manage activities for building, grounds, and classrooms. You'll lead a team, track expenses, and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for our school community.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise maintenance operations and staff
    • Monitor performance and provide guidance to maintenance workers
    • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors
    • Conduct training for maintenance staff
    • Respond to building and grounds emergencies
    • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficieny in all maintenance projects
    • Perform preventative maintenance, repair and installation tasks
    • Manage equipment stock and supply orders
    • Work overtime when emergencies arise in order to prevent disruption of the school
    Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
    • Boiler licenses preferred
    • Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a school setting

    COMPETENCIES -- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

    • Ability to perform a variety of basic maintenance tasks using hand and power tools.
    • Ability to read and follow repair and instruction manuals.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
