    Perform a complete and thorough evaluation of System/Network Approval Process (SNAP) and Global Information Grid (GIG) Interconnection Approval Process (GIAP) to ensure that connection requests for the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) are processed properly while maintaining the appropriate level of confidentiality, integrity, and availability based on Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidance
    Advise, assist and evaluate network vulnerability associated with the use of specific ports and protocols that are critical to the Cybersecurity program at USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces
    The Contractor shall follow the DoD RMF and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 when providing artifacts to support node packages
    Additionally, the Operations Cyber Analyst should be able to perform security evaluations and vulnerability assessments of Unclassified and Classified router configurations ensuring the compliance of ports and protocols utilized by IT infrastructures, systems, platforms, products, applications and network security devices

    Typical Duties Include:

    • Provide dedicated, on-site Operations support for circuit registrations operated and maintained at USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces
    • Analyze, evaluate, and process Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM) and Data Management Zone (DMZ) Whitelist registries for SIE Information Systems that connect to the Global Information Grid (GIG)
    • Provide subject matter expertise for operational network security (e.g

    Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM), configuring internal and external sensors, creating and maintaining access control lists (ACLs), configuring the security settings of routers and firewalls, etc.)



    • Develop and maintain supporting documentation for new networks, systems and technologies as they are introduced into the SIE
    • Provide DoD system networks subject matter expertise to USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, deployed forces and their delegates, including other Contractors
    • Maintain, track, and validate DISN connection approval packages, including those from USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and other subordinate organizations
    • Assist USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs and deployed forces with the enforcement of connection standards for the networks
    • Review of databases to ensure that ports, protocols and Internet Protocol (IP) spaces are properly documented and managed from an operations perspective
    These databases, web sites, and tools include, but are not limited to:

    • Government Interconnection Approval Process (GIAP) database
    • Standard Network Access Protocol (SNAP) database
    • Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM)
    • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
    • Ensure timely notifications are made to responsible individuals and organizations in order to prevent any mission required ports, protocols and IP space remains operational (e.
    g., 30, 60, and 90 day notices)
  • Coordinate with USCYBERCOM, DoD, DISA and subordinate organizations to support the resolution of issues with connection approvals, and waiver requests

  • Here's what you'll need:
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ● 4 or more years of experience supporting a US Combatant Commands (USCENTCOM/USSOCOM) is desired

    • Working knowledge of the DISA GIAP/SNAP/PPSM/DMZ Whitelist registration databases
    Must have excellent communications skill (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience with DoD cybersecurity processes and policies (e.g., DODI , NIST, CNSS and other cybersecurity policies)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
