    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a travel assignment requiring Epic proficiency and the ability to work variable shifts across days, evenings, and nights.

    Responsibilities

    • Acute care hospital setting with MRI department serving adult and pediatric inpatient, outpatient, ER/trauma, and ICU patient populations
    • 1:1 patient ratio
    • Variable shifts covering days, evenings, and nights to cover leaves, including some weekends; shift lengths may be 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on coverage needs
    • No floating between units within the MRI department
    • Procedures include a wide range of MRI studies: brain, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), musculoskeletal, abdomen and pelvis, chest, breast, head/neck, and cardiac imaging
    • Preferred cardiac procedures include MR Cardiac with/without contrast, MR Cardiac Stress, MR Aortogram, MR Pulmonary, and MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff
    • Specialized imaging techniques include CINE (CSF flow study), diffusion imaging, gradient echo, MIP, MRV, MRA, multiplanar reconstruction, spin echo, T-1 and T-2 weighted imaging, and surface coils
    • Uses Siemens MRI equipment
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but may be subject to a different pay rate
    • Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before being considered for a traveler assignment and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
    • All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
    • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-submittal RTO requests may not be approved
    • First-time travelers will be considered for this position

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
    • ARRT (MR) or equivalent MRI licensure required; WA state or Compact license required if applicable
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
    • Experience with contrast media preparation and/or administration required
    • Ability to start peripheral IVs required
    • Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE required
    • Experience across multiple MRI modalities including cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging
    • Trauma Level II experience preferred
    • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
    • SSN and DOB required for consideration
