    24-25-ACE-VISTA-Regional Food Bank- Project Manager

    The Center for Academic Community Engagement at Siena College (ACE) recruits candidates from around the United States to serve with community-based organizations that work to alleviate poverty in the Capital District.

    You will have the opportunity to work on capacity-building projects in education, health care, the environment, housing, criminal justice, and/or economic development.

    You will make an impact with a non-profit organization and the Capital Region by coordinating volunteer-led projects, conducting research, writing grants, and facilitating outreach.

    Based on your skills and interests, you will be matched with an organization for the year.

    You will be managed on-site by a supervisor, mentored by 2 VISTA Leaders, and trained by an experienced VISTA team.

    You will attend a Pre-Service Orientation, an On-Site Orientation, and ongoing training for your personal and professional growth. Additionally, our cohort model provides community and support to help you make the most of your service year experience. We are celebrating fifteen years of success and have had over 200 VISTAs complete the program.

    Member Duties : -The VISTA member will gain a full understanding of the farm's role/place within the Regional Food Bank. -Review the history of the Farm's yield, capacity (staffing and infrastructure), and benefits since 2006 -Seek out grants/ and organizations to help aid further construction of our High Tunnels. -Assist in promoting the Farm through marketing and social media, -Coordinate volunteers - Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders at the Regional Food Bank -Research, and identify opportunities and innovations for building the farm's financial sustainability, such as through education programs and corporate retreats.
