- Collects and reviews data related to the physiological/psychological status of the patient. Provides education to patient and ensures all consents are signed.
- Obtains and records patient history and accurate symptoms pertinent to the procedure to be performed.
- Competently prepares patients for appropriate procedure
- Performs vascular imaging procedures and determine if images are acceptable or if they need redone
- Operates ultrasound duplex imaging equipment in order to perform imaging studies and performs physiological testing procedures utilizing; pulse volume recorder, photoplethysmography, strip chart, recorder, handheld bidirectional doppler, and transcranial Doppler
- Properly stores and transfers exams in PACS
- Gives providers and radiologists preliminary results and documents in the patients medical record.
- Responsible for regular rotation of on-call responsibilities. This includes the use of their own cell phone device to complete essential work functions and enhance job performance.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography or an accredited School of Ultrasonography, or holds a BSN
- Preferred: Degree or coursework in Vascular Imaging
- 2 years of vascular imaging experience
- Preferred: 5+ years of vascular imaging experience
- Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International , be a Registered RVT or be registry eligible. If registry eligible must sit for RDMS registry within 24 months and successfully pass the Physics and Vascular examinations
