- Develop, implement, and track engineering initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Oversee the design and development of new and existing products
- Identify and manage the resources required for engineering projects
- Monitor and ensure adherence to engineering standards and quality measures
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design and development of products
- Manage engineering budgets and resources to meet project timelines
- Develop, maintain, and review engineering processes and procedures
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects are meeting customer requirements
- Manage external vendors and suppliers for engineering projects
- Monitor industry trends and technologies to identify new opportunities for engineering innovation
- Other duties as required
- Third level qualification within Engineering or related field is preferred
- 3+ years professional engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience or knowledge Lithium Battery systems is preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading successful engineering teams
- Demonstrated experience with developing, implementing and managing engineering processes and standards
- Ability to develop and motivate technical teams
- Familiarity with current engineering tools and technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Travel is required – approximately 10% - 20%
