# Pro Athlete Impact Internship - Voice Up

## Position Overview

Voice Up seeks passionate Professional Athlete Foundation Impact Interns to amplify the reach, accountability, and transformative impact of foundations established by retired professional athletes.

This 100% remote internship empowers creative advocates to document, measure, and scale the community work of athlete-led foundations while developing innovative multimedia content that demonstrates evidence-based impact across multiple cities.

Through Voice Up's proven data collection and analysis methodologies, interns transform localized foundation work into scalable models for systemic community change.

## The Mission

Professional athletes transition from playing careers into purpose-driven community leadership through foundations focused on youth development, mental wellness, financial literacy, family support, and intergenerational connection.

However, many foundations lack the comprehensive data documentation and impact measurement infrastructure needed to secure major funding, scale programming, and demonstrate outcomes to stakeholders.

This internship addresses that gap by significantly expanding the level of detail and significance of each foundation's documented impact through systematic data collection, compelling storytelling, and strategic visibility campaigns.

Interns work directly with retired athletes and their foundations to create the evidence base that funders, policymakers, and community leaders require to replicate and scale successful initiatives.

## Core Responsibilities

Foundation Impact Documentation & Data Collection

• Conduct comprehensive interviews with foundation leaders, program participants, community partners, and beneficiaries
• Document quantitative outcomes: number of youth served, families supported, workshops delivered, community events hosted, and measurable participant improvements
• Capture qualitative impact through video testimonials, written narratives, and compelling case studies
• Create before/after assessments demonstrating program effectiveness using Voice Up's validated measurement tools (97.1% satisfaction methodology)
• Develop visual impact reports combining data analytics with human stories

Multi-City Program Analysis & Scalability Research

• Research foundation programming across multiple metropolitan areas to identify replicable models

• Develop grantready materials including executive summaries, impact reports, and case studies
• Craft compelling fundraising narratives that connect donor investments to measurable community outcomes

Intern Responsibilities:

• Document how foundations implement B Curriculum principles in youth programming and player support services
• Measure mental health outcomes using traumainformed assessment tools
• Track participant progress across multiple B Curriculum components
• Create implementation toolkits for other foundations adopting the framework
• Analyze longterm impact on reducing isolation, building resilience, and preventing mental health crises

## Required Qualifications

• Current undergraduate/graduate student in communications, nonprofit management, social work, public health, sports management, or related field
