- Initiate billing review for New Sales and Refills Sales for pre-dispensing medical equipment.
- Ensure medical compliance by maintaining standards set forth by insurances and HIPAA.
- Use analytical skills to investigate the issues with unpaid claims and/or denied payments.
- Review authorizations for rental equipment daily.
- Verify and confirms all DME retail and insurance sales.
- Obtain appropriate paperwork from doctors such as prescriptions, Certificates of Medical Necessities, prior authorizations
- Collect daily payments from insurances/patients, and records these transactions in Brightree software.
- Work with Accounts Receivable department for invoicing patients.
- Review for insurance updates, as needed.
- 1 year of medical billing experience
- Knowledge of Medicare Part B billing process is an asset
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a team-player with the focus on common goal
