- Post-secondary degree(s) in Engineering or Science

**Canopy's mission is to manufacture humanity's ascent. Our team advances manufacturing processes and materials to support the most challenging missions in the galaxy: re-entry from space, interplanetary travel, hypersonic weapons, and more. Canopy's product lines are centered around technical ceramic components needed to withstand heat, corrosive environments, and the harshness of space.
**Position Overview
**The Head of Federal Capture will join Canopy to accelerate our traction in securing major US government contracts. Since October 2022, Canopy has been awarded over $4.5M worth of R&D contracts across NASA, USAF, and MDA. You'll take us to the next level of engaging the US government, professionalizing how we manage relationships to how we track market signals and develop solutions. This position will report directly to Canopy's Chief Commercial Officer and play an instrumental role in building transformative solutions for public sector missions.
You're not afraid to challenge assumptions around government contracting or propose new ways of doing business – in 2024, the government is more willing than ever to take creative approaches to contracting, scoping, and execution. You're willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to win; our small team prides itself on being scrappy.
