- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction and support in areas such as braille literacy, orientation and mobility, and access to assistive technology.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure the implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs and progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments, including those who require braille instruction.
- Knowledge of best practices in the field of visual impairment education.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
