Title:
Maintenance Technician
Basic Function:
Responsible for daily troubleshooting, upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all Agency facilities. Performing mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
Minimum four years' experience with performing daily maintenance of residential and commercial buildings. Proven knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is a plus
A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle are required. Must pass State Criminal background checks relevant to funding sources.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing regular review, inspection, upkeep, reporting and repair of all Agency facilities and residences (owned and leased) from landscaping to light industrial repair
Responds to and resolves day to day facility maintenance issues
Must be able to repetitively lift and carry heavy objects, such as 50 pound salt bags, 5-gallon paint pails, building materials etc.
Must be able to climb and work from laddersDrive Agency vehicles as required for daily assignments or as directed
Maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record during employment
Performs mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs
Performs drywall repair and painting
Complete light carpentry projects
Performs exterior maintenance such as landscaping, sidewalks, roof, and lot maintenance, exterior painting
Provides back-up for all aspects of the Daily and Evening Maintenance
Assists with maintenance of floors, including buffing, waxing, carpet cleaning and vacuuming
Performs functions to open and close office facilities
Assist with set-up and breakdown of facilities for meetings and events
Coordinates outside mechanical, plumbing, and electrical contractors as required; Assists Director with outsourcing
Assists Director in inventorying, ordering and maintaining adequate stock of Agency maintenance supplies and materials (i.e. cleaning products, light bulbs, salt, etc...)
Pick up supplies as needed
Performs snow removal duties
Assists with building Fire Safety requirements under direction of the Director, helps schedule drills and annual equipment inspections
Acts as contact for 24-hour building security calls and emergency maintenance calls and responds with appropriate actions
Assists in maintenance of Agency vehicles. Perform or arrange for inspections, registrations, repairs, purchases, and/or dispositions
Provides personal care assistance in bathroom, wheelchair maneuvering and feeding as needed
Be available for emergency and vacation coverage
Other duties as assigned
