Physical Therapist / PT Contract Details:

Job Title: Physical Therapist
Setting: Correctional Center
Location: Mitchells, VA
Shift: Days | 8-hours
13-week contract with the high potential to extend.

Physical Therapist / PT Pay:

Gross Pay (Based on 40 hours): $1, $2,000.00 D.O.E.
Weekly Direct Deposit
Benefits Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k.

Physical Therapist / PT Duties:

Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
Competent in care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Physical Therapist / PT Requirements:

VA PT License; Also accepting certified Occupational Therapists (OT)
BLS.
2+ years of previous PT/OT experience.
