- Acts as primary CMM support for fixture setup and troubleshooting.
- Audit jobs throughout production to ensure process is being followed and record/report results.
- Inspect products using gages, measurement tools, scales, and vision prior to shipment and throughout the production process.
- Inspect, measure and test incoming raw materials and components.
- Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
- Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
- Interact with production personnel and auditors (internal and external) as needed.
- Responsible for calibration of measurement tools including uploading data into QADB,
- Medical certificates of conformance documentation, and QC Calc data collection and SPC data collection.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred 2 years of experience in a cross-functional Quality Control role.
- Mechanical Aptitude required.
- Ability to demonstrate proper usage of gages (i.e., calipers, micrometers, scales, pin gages optical comparator, hardness testing, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or technical drawings including basic GD&T and apply the information as it relates to gaging, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
- Ability to measure parts with CMM.
- Must be able to perform simple shop math.
- Basic computer skills including typing and ability to enter data into Bettcher workstations.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, Excel experience required.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
