The Role:
Procurement Specialist
This role supports the purchasing and planning of materials and services required to meet business needs across Switch. You review requisitions, issue purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services. The role requires attention to detail, clear communication, and disciplined follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Review requisitions and purchase requests for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
Assign appropriate general ledger coding for purchases in accordance with company standards.
Obtain and compare vendor quotations to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Issue purchase orders and coordinate with vendors to confirm pricing, scope, and delivery timelines.
Monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Communicate order status and updates clearly to internal stakeholders.
Investigate and resolve billing, shipping, and invoicing discrepancies throughout the procure-to-pay process.
Maintain organized and accurate procurement records and documentation.
Support vendor evaluation and performance tracking as needed.

What You'll Bring
1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, accounting, or supply chain roles. Construction industry experience preferred.
Associate degree in business, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote or hybrid environment.
