    Overview: As an Accounting Specialist, you will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for managing specialized accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
      • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.
      • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
      • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
      • Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
    2. Account Reconciliation:
      • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
      • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances.
      • Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets.
      • Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed.
    3. Specialized Accounting Functions:
      • Manage specific accounting functions such as inventory accounting, revenue recognition, or fixed asset accounting.
      • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
      • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
    4. Audit Support:
      • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
      • Coordinate with auditors and provide requested information in a timely manner.
      • Participate in audit meetings and assist in resolving audit findings.
    5. Process Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
      • Develop and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize processes.
    6. Training and Support:
      • Provide training and support to accounting staff on specialized accounting topics.
      • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for accounting-related inquiries.
    Requirements:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on specialized accounting functions.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
