    Description


    Responsible for managing pre-award activities for an assigned portfolio of grants and contracts within a Research Administration Service Units (RASU) using knowledge of grant and contract management rules and regulations, technical expertise, and analytical skills.

    Manages the day-to-day operations and objectives in support of the assigned portfolio. Contributes information and ideas related to areas of responsibility as part of a cross functional team. Ensures effective and efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards for staff/program and self.

    LOCATION(S): New Orleans, LA and Covington, LA

    The education required for each level is listed below:

    Pre-Award Specialist I (Pay Grade 24)


    • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/equivalent and 3 years of directly related experience
    Pre-Award Specialist II (Pay Grade 25)


    • Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience related to grants and contracts management, or High School Diploma/equivalent and 6 years of directly related experience
    Pre-Award Specialist III (Pay Grade 26)


    • Associate's Degree and 5 years effective work-related grants and contracts management, or High School Diploma/equivalent and 8 years of directly related experience
    • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years effective work-related grants and contracts management related experience, or High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years' grants and contracts management experience
    Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
