- Team Leadership : Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional development within the lending team, providing mentorship, coaching, and training to maximize performance and employee engagement.
- Relationship Management : Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including borrowers, regulators, community organizations, and industry partners, to enhance the bank's reputation and market presence.
- Performance Analysis : Monitor and analyze lending performance metrics, financial trends, and market dynamics to identify areas for improvement, optimize profitability, and drive informed decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in senior leadership roles within commercial banking, with a focus on lending operations and credit risk management.
- Deep understanding of lending products, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements, particularly within the community banking sector.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data, assess risk exposures, and make data-driven decisions to optimize lending performance.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of the Southern California market and familiarity with the unique needs and challenges of the local community banking landscape is desirable.
