    Description
    Our client is looking to fill a Preconstruction Estimator position. They are a comprehensive construction company equipped to handle projects of any size with expertise and efficiency.

    The Preconstruction Estimator position would need to:
    Thoroughly review project solicitation documents and generate relevant questions pertaining to assigned scope of work.

    Solicit quotations from subcontractors/vendors, compile bid document packages, and manage inquiries while ensuring a comprehensive understanding of respective scopes of work and responsibilities.

    Develop detailed scope of work packages utilizing narratives, checklists, and quantity take-offs.
    Evaluate and scrutinize subcontractor/vendor proposals for accuracy in scope, quantities, schedule, inclusions, and exclusions.
    Prepare price analysis sheets for subcontractors/vendors.
    Collaborate with the design team on design-build Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to assist in proposal development.
    Aid in purchasing and defining subcontractor/vendor agreements scope of work.


    Skills Required:
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
    Proficiency in interpreting construction documents and crafting scopes of work.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel and Word).Familiarity with On-Screen take-off software or similar tools is advantageous.
    Experience with estimating software, especially Sage Estimating (Timberline), is a plus.


    Experience Preferred:
    Minimum of six (6) years of construction industry experience with a focus on estimating.
    Demonstrated commitment to previous employers, with a minimum tenure of three (3) years.
    Experience in fixed price, design-build, and/or self-perform estimating is desirable.
    Knowledge of Government projects and experience in sitework, concrete, steel, or building interiors is advantageous.#J-18808-Ljbffr
