Owner-Side | Retail Portfolio
Pearson Street Advisors have been retained by a vertically integrated real estate investment firm in Milwaukee to recruit a Retail Leasing Associate to support leasing strategy and execution across a portfolio of retail assets.
This is an ownership-side role with meaningful exposure to asset management and executive leadership — ideal for someone with 2+ years of retail leasing, brokerage, or commercial real estate experience who wants to move closer to decision-making and strategy.
The RoleThe Retail Leasing Associate will serve as the primary liaison between ownership and third-party leasing brokers — ensuring active marketing, deal velocity, and alignment with asset-level business plans.
This role combines broker oversight, transaction coordination, market research, and executive reporting.Key Responsibilities:
Serve as day-to-day ownership contact for outsourced leasing brokers
Track deal pipeline, broker activity, and leasing velocity
Review proposals and LOIs for consistency with ownership strategy
Coordinate lease execution from initial inquiry through tenant handoff
Prepare leasing dashboards, rent rolls, and executive-ready reports
Collect and synthesize market feedback impacting pricing and merchandising strategy
Support renewals, expansions, and restructuring efforts
Ideal Background:
2+ years of experience in retail leasing, brokerage, or commercial real estate
Strong organizational and pipeline management skills
Ability to synthesize market data into clear, executive-level updates
High proficiency in Excel; comfort preparing reporting for senior leadership
Self-starter comfortable working independently
Owner-side retail leasing or experience overseeing third-party brokers is a plus.
