    Summary:


    The Healthcare Analyst II is a senior analytics role responsible for supporting healthcare operational and strategic decision-making through the use of standardized analytics (descriptive and predictive), analysis, and robust program evaluation.

    Using appropriate industry standard processes and techniques, the Healthcare Analyst II serves a variety of internal and external stakeholders.


    Essential Functions:


    AnalyticsDevelops descriptive and predictive analytics that support financial optimization, forecasting, risk stratification/segmentation, market segmentation, utilization management, or other functional areas of population health management.

    Analyzes complex clinical, financial, and quality data sets and interprets the healthcare significance for business intelligence and other operational and strategic decision-making.

    Uses data mining and discovery techniques for healthcare intelligence pattern and relationship recognition.
    Develops and implement analytical processes that allow for predictive analytics, trend analyses, variation analyses, and provider profiling.
    Solves business problems through analysis and communicate the outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, business owners and senior management.
    Consults with internal and external stakeholders to develop business requirements for report development.

    Supports other functions in all project phases from concept to implementationContinually develops analytical and technical skills in order to support advancing and evolving functions.

    Ad-hoc Analysis

    Provides support for ad-hoc clinical, quality, risk adjustment, and financial informational requests.
    Prepares analysis for internal and external stakeholders to reduce costs, review trends and improve both clinical and financial efficiency.
    Supports and executes requests for ad-hoc research and analysis, prioritizing as appropriate to reach department goals.

    Acts as a resource for other members of the department/division on business issues and is responsible for training and guidance of associates.


    Minimum Requirements:


    Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Informatics or Data Science with 3-5 years of healthcare analytics experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    SAS (preferred), R, and/or Python advanced coding experience requiredExperienced with SQL requiredIntermediary statistical analysis experience required, including confidence intervals, logistic regression, other techniquesExperience with descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyticsStrong project management skills requiredProficient in analysis, including variation, trend, and forecastingProficient in MS OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact with diverse groups, executives, manager, and subject matter expertise


    Working Conditions:
    Works in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
