    Description

    CoreCivic is a leader in the industry with teams that provide clinical mental health services to offenders. They are seeking a Clinical Mental Health Therapist to perform mental health screenings, assessments, and develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans for inmates. This position is designated as Mental Health Coordinator and demands a level of performance that will meet job requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on clinical interviews and available records.
    • Provide treatment to inmates by evaluating needs, level of functioning, and modify individual treatment plans accordingly.
    • Maintain complete records of treatment and evaluation activities in health care records for each patient seen.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and inmate information.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of various counseling techniques and treatments for individuals suffering from psychological distress.
    • Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and interventions to inmates.

    Requirements:

    • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area from an accredited college or university.
    • At least five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable job position.
    • Possession of appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.
    • Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
