Description
Overview:
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist at our Konikoff Dentistry - Shore Drive located at 2829 Shore Dr Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451 to join our strong clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.
This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.
They also may educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills. Our Hygiene Manager is also in the office 3 days a week to provide training and mentorship.Hourly Rate:
$40.00-$45.00
Average Patients per hour: 1
Average Patients per day: 8
Schedule:
Mondays 8am-6pm, Tuesday-Friday 7am-3pm or 8am-5pm, negotiable on days and times.

Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients.
Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
Other duties as assigned
