Purchasing Agent
to join our team and support our manufacturing operations.
Position Overview:
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials used in the production of fiber and copper assemblies. This role involves managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors (domestic and international), and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn the purchasing process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase raw materials and components required for fiber and copper assembly production.
- Manage international shipments from established vendors, ensuring compliance with shipping requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, pricing, and vendor information.
- Work closely with the production team to monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs.
- Coordinate with vendors on order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices, shipments, or materials received.
- Support cost-control initiatives by monitoring supplier pricing and negotiating when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 0–3 years of purchasing, supply chain, or procurement experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with ERP or purchasing software a plus.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
