The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse RN or physician in a healthcare long-term care or assisted living facility The LPN is responsible for monitoring patients health administering basic nursing care and ensuring that patients medical needs are met This role is essential in promoting the health comfort and well-being of residents by delivering high-quality nursing care in a compassionate and professional mannerResponsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to residents including administering medications wound care and assisting with personal hygiene
- Monitor residents vital signs such as temperature blood pressure and pulse and report any abnormalities to the supervising nurse or physician
