JOB SUMMARY:
To provide workstation and other environmental ergonomic evaluations for Marin Health Medical Center and Marin Health Medical Network employees including scheduling appointments, conducting onsite or virtual assessments, providing written recommendations, ordering appropriate equipment, coordinating with Facilities Planning and Development for furniture and structural management, education in self-care, stretches and use of equipment
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONBA or BS in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, or Human Factors and Ergonomics preferredEXPERIENCEOne year in Ergonomics field work preferred.
CERTIFICATION:
Valid CA drivers license
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL (not modifiable)Respond to Ergonomic evaluation requests received from individual employees, supervisors/managers, employee physician, Safety, Human Resources (IntegratedDisability Management)Schedule and perform assessments, provide solutions, equipment recommendations within approved vendor lists and education and training on safe work habits and self care including posture, rest breaks, stretchingAct as a consultant for selection of standardized furniture and equipment, space and office moves, resource for ergonomic solutions to industrial/non-office safety concernsOrganize and track documentation of above servicesSECONDARY (modifiable)Suggest and, as authorized, introduce new methods and techniquesKeep abreast of current trends and developments in the field.
