    Our nurse paralegals are at the core of our practice and provide vital support and benefit to our clients. This position requires a proactive personality with outstanding organizational skills along with the ability to follow best practices.

    You must be able and willing to work in our downtown Columbus, Ohio office 5 days a week during normal business hours.

    Job duties include:

    • Provide medical records review and summation in medical malpractice claims.
    • Organizing and indexing medical records at the direction of the attorneys
    • Reviewing and cataloguing of received radiology images from medical care providers.
    • Preparing detailed chronologies based upon the medical issues in the case.
    • Medical literature review and research
    • Obtaining expert reviews including searching for expert options and communicating with experts and attorneys
    • Medical research to ensure knowledge of most up to date standards of care and practice guidelines.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF
    • An active Ohio LPN or RN license with a minimum of 7 years of clinical experience
    • Excellent writing & communication skills
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred
    • Prior experience as a Legal Nurse Consultant, Nurse Paralegal or risk manager is preferred.
    • PACU, ICU, or ED: 6 years preferred
    • Certification as a Legal Nurse Consulting is highly desired
    • Unparalleled organizational ability and effective time management.

    In addition, the ideal candidate will also possess unquestioned integrity and discipline and is systems/procedures oriented, detailed oriented, a self-starter, and is an excellent communicator (written and verbal).
