Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist
Reports to: Quality Manager
About the role
Step into a hands-on quality role where your attention to detail keeps production on spec and customers confident. You'll perform inspections, support PPAP approvals, drive targeted process improvements, and help administer and maintain our ISO quality management system.
A day in the role
- Walk the production floor to conduct process validations and in-process inspections, monitoring the quality of printing processes and finished products.
- Compile inspection findings and create Certificates of Conformance as required.
- Dive into nonconformances (NCRs): route, process, and document them while leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and audit procedures, work instructions, and quality plans that support ISO 9001 standards.
- Prepare and maintain precise records for final and in-process inspections, First Articles, PPAP submissions, and data collection.
- Provide production performance data to stakeholders to inform decisions and improvements.
- Keep measurement and inspection equipment calibrated, available, and in good working order.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the operation and take on related duties as assigned.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to author and revise quality documentation to ISO 9001 standards (preferred).
- Background in quality inspection and auditing (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear, effective communication.
- Experience preparing PPAP documentation (preferred).
- OMM/CMM experience is a plus.
