    Job Summary

    Coordinates basic in-stock jewelry quality inspections to ensure all quality standards for sale are upheld or quality concerns are recognized. Liaises with Senior Analysts on advanced inspections, provides support for systematic stock repair processing and general departmental administrative tasks, such as but not limited to QA document updates, data entry and ordering replacement stones.

    Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • Conducts basic and secondary inspections for new merchandise and existing stock item life cycle inspections inclusive of PD sample returns, photoshoot/event items and employee memo returns.
    • Reviews the construction and assembly of manufactured jewelry as well as evaluates diamonds, colored stones and pearls to ensure that all quality standards for sale are met.
    • Performs testing as specified. Confirms that all components are accurate and functional; confirms laser inscriptions where applicable and provides photo documentation.
    • Responsible to ensure Retail Damage Notifications and Interface Allocations are received before merchandise is assigned to Senior Analysts.
    • Conduct monthly physical inventory, research and resolve discrepancies.

    Departmental administrative assistance for:

    • Data entry into Stock Repair Log, inclusive of all updates
    • Work order processing with Inventory Control, inclusive of variant card updates and invoice cross-referencing
    • Ordering stone replacements
    • Ensuring timely completion of repairs
    • Weekly Ship List communication for all International shipments

    Job Qualifications

    • 1-2 years finished good jewelry inspection experience, Graduate Gemologist preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required)
    • Knowledge of Photoshop preferred
    • Capable of multi-tasking
    • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
    • Ability to manage small projects
