The Opportunity:

As the Head of IT Operations, you'll have a pivotal role in overseeing our IT operations, ensuring the smooth integration of our PHP-based applications, AWS infrastructure, and cybersecurity protocols. This role presents an exciting chance to utilize your technical knowledge to lead innovation and create a significant impact on the economic development arena.

What You'll Be Responsible for:

Lead and guide a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking work atmosphere.
Supervise the development, deployment, and upkeep of our PHP-based applications, guaranteeing compliance with top practices and industry standards.
Manage and enhance our AWS cloud infrastructure, encompassing EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and other AWS services, to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Create and execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard our systems, data, and assets from potential risks.
Carry out regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing to detect and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to grasp business needs and offer strategic advice on implementing technological solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Control IT budgets, resource allocations, and supplier relationships, ensuring effective and budget-conscious operations.
Keep abreast of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in PHP development, AWS services, and cybersecurity, and provide guidance to the team on adopting and implementing new technologies and methodologies.

You're the Ideal Candidate If You Bring:

5-7 years of PHP development experience, with solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, web application frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter), and database management systems.
5-7 years of experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and other relevant services.
1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity practices, including risk assessment, incident response, and security compliance.
Sound understanding of security protocols, encryption methods, and network security best practices.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the capability to effectively lead and mentor IT teams.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in PHP, AWS, or cybersecurity (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP) are highly valued.
