    Primary duties include developing, administering and coordinating the daily activities associated with multimillion dollar construction, renovation, and maintenance projects for City of Irving buildings/park facilities/physical assets; reviewing and approving consultant and contractor pay applications; identifying and defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing conclusions and identifying lessons learned; planning and preparing work plans to address long term goals and needs for project construction; and efficiently managing and tracking multiple projects and activities simultaneously. Other duties include verbally communicating information and ideas so others will understand, especially in discussions related to construction details with various levels of project personnel; and working within the guidelines of city government in terms of operations, purchasing and budget management. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management, business, or a closely related field and five years of project management experience required. Federal, State or Municipal government experience preferred. A rsum must be submitted with application.

    THOSE WHOSE DATE OF HIRE (START DATE) IS FEBRUARY 19, 2023 THROUGH JULY 31, 2024, ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A HIRING INCENTIVE
    • Individuals hired into this position will receive $1000 after their first 30 days of employment provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
    • Employees that successfully complete their 6-month orientation period will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000 provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
    • Employees that successfully complete one year of employment without
      documented attendance or disciplinary issues will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000.
    • The maximum amount of hiring incentive that an individual employee may receive is $3,000.
