Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for an Interior Cockpit Engineer for our Superior Township, MI facility who will:
Design and develop Interior Cockpit parts, and perform releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects
Develop innovative solutions to improve from a cost/mass, performance, and quality perspective
Develop Engineering Concepts and see parts through to Mass Production
Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results
Recommend engineering improvements through assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking
Use previous experience to help mentor and develop fellow engineers within the group
Be responsible for generating and completing Advanced Development projects related to part- or system-level improvements for future vehicles

Engineers should be able to demonstrate:5+ years of working knowledge of

Interior Cockpit Components:
Instrument Panel, Center Console, etc.
Experience in cradle to grave product development best practices & processes
Knowledge of US regulations
Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Cockpit components
Experience utilizing Computer-Aided Design tools (capability in CATIA V5 ideal, but not required)
Travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience required
Valid Driver's License & satisfactory driving record
